EPRI: Consumer expectations for plug-in hybrid electric vehicle ownership experience

Plug-in hybrid electric (PHEVs) vehicles will be on American roads soon. Most major automobile manufacturers have committed to producing these vehicles in large numbers in the next 2-5 years. The electricity industry has anticipated this possibility for years, and led by EPRI, it has engaged in an extensive effort to be prepared.

Regulators and state and federal agencies have recently become heavily engaged. Numerous stakeholders are involved in planning for the conversion to an electric fleet. It is time to include the voice of the consumer in these decisions.
